My process of designing a greyhound-themed poster. Prior to the designing stage I drew several sketches to figure out the style. I knew from the start that the eyes would be omitted.
Once that was taken care of I openned Clip Studio Paint and sketched up the basic composition and added some info about the breed. Afterwards I imported the sketch in Adobe Illustrator and defined the shapes and colors.
Next I saved the file and exported it as a Photoshop document so I can further edit it in that software. By selecting each individual shape I added shading and lighting on individual layers (using Multiply and Soft light modes respectively). To finish it up I added lightning bolts as word separators and to complete the composition, and applied some noise to the shading.
